| The Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College and Hospital in India is a historic institution, also a unique institution where both streams are operating under the same roof. It was started in 1883 by the Hazeek-ul-Mulk Hakim Abdul Majeed Khan Sahib as ‘Madrasa e Tibia’. It was formally inaugurated on 23 July 1889 by the then Deputy Commissioner of Delhi, Shri R. Was done by Clarke. The study of Modern Medicine and Science was a part of the syllabus of this school. This madrasa-e-tibiya was later re-established in the new building at Karol Bagh by Masih-ul-Mulk Hakim Ajmal Khan Sahib. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by His Excellency Lord Hardinge (the then Viceroy of India) on 29 March 1916.
