Any candidates desire to admit in BAMS in any colleges that provide BAMS course in India will be awarded only by NEET Score. As National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single entrance test for all India, there is no other test for the admission into BAMS course in India. NEET is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). In order to receive the BAMS admission, candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
All India Quota seats in Government, Government Aided and Private Ayurveda Colleges and 100% seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/National Institutes will be organized by AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) on behalf of Ministry Of AYUSH, Government Of India tentatively in second week of August for admission to BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS Courses. The counselling for admission in seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions will be made as per the separate notifications of the concerned State authorities. Merit list of the candidates in the relevant category, announced by the candidates while applying for admission/counselling, shall be prepared by the admitting/counselling authorities.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for the online counselling session as per the rank of the student. The candidates must choose the college of their preference from the colleges available to them according to the rank they have achieved.
All India Merit List of the shortlisted candidates will be made based on All India Rank in the Merit List of the NEET (UG) and candidates will be admitted into BAMS Course from the aforesaid list only, subject to existing policy of reservation. NTA will give All India Rank only to the candidates, whereas Admitting Authorities will invite Counselling application and merit list will be prepared on the basis of All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities. Admission to AYUSH Courses under the respective categories shall be on All India Rank only according to merit list of NEET.
Admission to 15% All India Quota, shall be as per the provisions of the Statutory Guidelines of Ministry of AYUSH and AACCC the decisions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the process laid down by the AACCC under the Ministry Of AYUSH. Likewise, for admission under 85% State Quota shall be also as per the terms of the Statutory Regulations of Ministry Of AYUSH and AACCC, decisions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the rules and regulations laid down by the State/Union Govt. or its authorized authority.
