Who Conducts AYUSH Counselling in India?

There are two types of counselling:

  1. AACCC (All India Quota – 15%)
  • Conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee
  • For central universities, deemed universities, and All India Quota , seats in govt/private colleges
  • Includes: BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS

  1. State-Level AYUSH Counselling (85%)
  • Every r state has its own counselling portal
  • Covers government, private & semi-govt AYUSH colleges within the state
  • States: Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, MP, Bihar.

 You must apply separately on each state portal

Step-by-Step AYUSH Admission Process in 2025

Step 1: Appear for NEET UG 2025

  • NEET is mandatory for all UG AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BNYS)
  • No separate AYUSH entrance exam

Step 2: Check NEET Result & Rank

  • Check category-wise cutoff
  • Compare with previous years’ BAMS/BHMS/BUMS cutoffs

Step 3: Register for Counselling

  1. a) For All India Quota (AACCC):
  • Go to aaccc.gov.in
  • Fill personal info, NEET roll no, and upload documents
  • Pay registration & security fee (₹10,000–₹50,000 depending on college type)
  1. b) For State Counselling:
  • Visit your state’s AYUSH portal (like upayushcounseling.upsdc.gov.in for UP)
  • Complete registration, pay fees, and upload NEET scorecard

Step 4: Choice Filling & Locking

  • Choose your preferred course (BAMS, BHMS, etc.) and colleges
  • Arrange them in the right order
  • Lock your choices before the deadline

 Tip: Don’t put only top colleges — include safe options too

Step 5: Seat Allotment

  • Based on your NEET rank, category & choices
  • If allotted, download Allotment Letter

Step 6: Report to College

  • Carry original documents (10th/12th, NEET scorecard, ID, photos, category cert.)
  • Pay admission fees
  • Finish physical verification
