Lokmanya Medical Foundation’s Homoeopathic Medical College, located in Chinchwad, Pune, is a well-established institution in the field of homoeopathic education. Founded in 1984 by the Lokmanya Medical Foundation, the college initially offered a Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (DHMS) with an intake capacity of 50 students. In 1989, the college upgraded its program to the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and became affiliated with the University of Pune. Later, in 1998, it came under the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, with the intake increasing to 100 students. The college is recognized by the Maharashtra Government, the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), New Delhi, and MUHS. The BHMS program spans 5.5 years, including a compulsory one-year internship, and admissions are conducted based on NEET-UG merit through the State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra. |
