| Konkan Education Society was established in the year 1917 with the aim of providing the education facilities to the people of Konkan region. It was specially aimed at developing all kinds of educational institutes not only in urban areas but in the remote villages too. It has served its purpose and has grown into the big educational centers having 21 Primary Schools,52 Secondary Schools, 7 Sr. Colleges of Arts, Commerce & Science and Professional Colleges like 2 Medical Colleges. Visions are visualisations of the mind. Rarely do such visualisatons come true. Here, Ex-President KES Hon’ble Adv.Datta Patil, Ex-Opposition Leader of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly the visualisor, has beenable to transfer his visualization to reality, causing birth to an august institution a “Homoeopathic Medical College” at Vengurla. It was named as K.E.S. Adv. Datta Patil Homoeopathic Medical College, Vengurla. This College started functioning in 1989, under the governance of Konkan Education Society. The College is blessed with a sylvan & serene atmosphere. The landscape, true to its nature, is undulating. It is pollution free.
