This college has been established in view of the increasing enthusiasm among the public towards the world’s oldest Ayurveda system of medicine and the effect on incurable diseases. It is hereby named after the most famous ascetic Vaikunthavasi Mahatma Swami Raghavendraacharya Tridandi Ji. Affordable and successful medical treatment should be available to the poor and underprivileged people of rural areas near their homes. Inspired by this spirit, Seth Gangadhar Dalmia, the founder secretary of the college, keeping in mind the sentiments of the people here, resolved to establish a resourceful Ayurveda college in which modern Ayurveda along with complete system of teaching and learning should be established. There should be a hospital where people from different parts of the world can come and get health benefits to get rid of diseases through Ayurveda treatment and students studying can be imparted theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge. For this purpose, this college was started in 1978, which is affiliated to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur and has been approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCMR), New Delhi. |
